A serum blended with the actives and strengths chosen for your skin, approved by a physician, and adjusted as your skin changes. Not one formula for everyone.
Most skincare is made for a market, not a person. One formula, one strength, built to sit in a warehouse for two years and be tolerable to as many people as possible.
Universkin works the other way around. Your skin is assessed first, a physician chooses which actives belong in your serum and at what strength, and the serum is compounded fresh, usually within 48 to 72 hours of reaching you. That freshness is what lets it carry ingredients a shelf-stable product cannot.
The system was developed by doctors and is used by clinicians in dozens of countries. It is prescribed, not purchased off a display.
Standardized imaging and clinical evaluation across multiple zones, looking at hydration, pigmentation, redness, texture, congestion, and signs of aging.
A doctor or trained skin professional reviews the findings and approves which actives and concentrations go into your formula before anything is made.
Your serum is blended shortly before it reaches you rather than months earlier, which is why the actives arrive potent instead of tired.
We check in and adjust. Skin changes with season, stress, hormones, and age, and a formula that fit in winter may be wrong by summer.
Formulas draw from a library of active ingredients at a wide range of concentrations, including retinoids, vitamin C, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and azelaic acid, among others. The combination and the strength are both decisions, which is the part off-the-shelf skincare cannot offer.
No parabens. No phenoxyethanol. A high proportion of the actives come from biotechnology rather than synthesis.
The formula at the centre is yours alone. Around it sits a range built to prep, treat, and protect.

It is easy to forget, because hair is in the way. But the scalp is skin with the same barrier, the same inflammatory responses, and the same sensitivities as the face, and it is the environment every follicle grows out of.
An inflamed, congested, or compromised scalp is a poor place to grow hair. That is why skin health and hair health get looked at together here rather than in separate appointments.
Universkin is a cosmetic skincare system. It is not a treatment for medical skin disease, and it does not replace care from a dermatologist or physician where one is needed.
Because every formula is reviewed and approved by a physician before it is made, Universkin is arranged through the Newport Beach location, where Shawn works alongside Dr. Bryan C. Doonan.

A retail serum is one formula made for millions of people, built to survive two years on a shelf. A Universkin serum is blended with the actives and concentrations chosen for your skin and compounded shortly before it reaches you, which is why it can hold ingredients that would otherwise degrade.
Yes. The formula is reviewed and approved by a physician or trained skin professional before anything is made. That review is the point of the system, not a formality.
Skin in February is not skin in July. We reassess periodically, usually every couple of months at the start, and adjust the actives and strengths as your skin, season, and stress change.
The scalp is skin. Redness, flaking, sensitivity, and inflammation on the scalp respond to the same principles, and we look at scalp condition during your trichology assessment. What gets prescribed depends on that assessment.
Fine lines and loss of firmness, uneven tone and pigmentation, redness and sensitivity, dehydration, blemishes and congestion, rough texture, visible pores, and dullness.
It does not have to be. Because the strength is chosen rather than fixed, sensitive skin can start low and build. The formulations skip parabens and phenoxyethanol.
Start with an assessment. The formula follows from what we find, not from a guess.
